Penne Pasta w/ Collagen Protein Tomato Basil Cream Sauce

INGREDIENTS:
- •12 oz penne pasta
- •1 lb chicken breasts, grilled & sliced
- •15 oz tomato sauce
- •15 oz crushed tomatoes
- •8 oz tomato paste
- •1 tbsp olive oil
- •2 tbsp honey
- •2 tbsp white vinegar
- •1 tsp dried basil
- •1 tsp garlic salt
- •1 tsp onion powder
- •1 tsp dried thyme
- •1 tsp black pepper
- •1 cup light buttermilk
- •4 scoops Bubs Naturals protein powder
- •2 tbsp parmesan cheese
- •¼ cup fresh basil, chopped
DIRECTIONS:

Cook penne noodles as directed.
- •
Add tomato sauce, crushed tomatoes, and tomato paste to a large saucepan.
- •
Stir olive oil, honey, vinegar, basil, salt, onion powder, thyme, and pepper. Next, stir in buttermilk.
- •
Bring sauce to a boil. Reduce to a simmer, whisk in collagen protein, and simmer for 5 minutes.
- •
Stir in cooked penne.
- •
Serve topped with parmesan cheese and fresh basil.
